There’s something truly special about photographing a wedding at the Air Force Academy, and Chelsea and Cole’s big day was a perfect example of that magic. As a wedding photographer in Colorado Springs, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing many love stories over the years, and theirs stood out for its energy, tradition, and pure joy. This is another beautiful wedding from a few years back that I realized I never posted—perfect for continuing this string of throwback blogs I’ve been sharing lately!

Chelsea and Cole, both proudly serving in the Air Force, brought a unique blend of military precision and fun-loving spirit to their wedding. Just a week before the big day, Chelsea received a well-deserved promotion, adding an extra layer of pride and excitement to the celebration.

Their ceremony took place on a picturesque bridge on the Air Force Academy property, surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains. The outdoor setting added a natural beauty to the occasion, making their vows even more memorable. As they exchanged rings with the stunning backdrop of Colorado Springs, it was clear that this was a moment they had both been waiting for, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

One of the day’s unforgettable highlights was their grand exit under a sword tunnel—a classic military tradition that symbolizes their journey forward together. Walking hand in hand beneath the raised swords, Chelsea and Cole beamed with joy, embodying the spirit of their relationship: strong, united, and ready for anything. And in true military style, they didn’t just stop with the sword tunnel—they even cut their wedding cake with a sword! It was a fun and memorable moment that perfectly reflected their playful and adventurous personalities.

Throughout the day, Chelsea and Cole’s energy was contagious. Whether they were sharing a quiet moment on the bridge, laughing with their guests, or dancing the night away, their love for each other was evident in every glance and smile. They were an absolute joy to work with—relaxed, full of life, and completely in love.

Military weddings in Colorado Springs, especially at iconic locations like the Air Force Academy, have a unique magic all their own. It’s not just about the beautiful surroundings or the traditions—it’s about the dedication and resilience that military couples bring to their marriage. Chelsea and Cole’s wedding was a perfect example of this, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of their day, capturing the moments that will become cherished memories.

To Chelsea and Cole, thank you for letting me be part of your incredible journey. Your wedding was a true celebration of love, achievement, and joy, and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and success together.
