As a wedding photographer in Colorado Springs, I get to document so many incredible celebrations of love, and Alex and Andy’s wedding at Pinery on the Hill was a wonderful reminder of why I love what I do. This venue is always a favorite—its stunning views of the mountains and elegant spaces make every moment feel magical.
Alex and Andy’s wedding day was full of heartfelt moments and personal touches. The ceremony was simple yet deeply moving. Alex looked stunning, her smile radiant as she walked down the aisle, and Andy’s emotions were written all over his face when he saw her. As they exchanged vows, you could tell how much thought and love went into their words. These are the moments that stay with you—the genuine, unguarded displays of love and connection.
One detail that really stood out was their guest book—a Monopoly board! I’d never seen that before, and as someone who also loves board games, I thought it was such a fun and creative idea. Guests left messages on the spaces, turning a classic game into a meaningful keepsake that Alex and Andy can treasure for years to come.
Throughout the day, there were so many beautiful scenes to capture, from the laughter during the toasts to the joy of their first dance. We even stepped outside for some portraits as the sun dipped behind the mountains. That golden light combined with the sweeping views made for some truly stunning shots.
It’s always an honor to be trusted with capturing a couple’s big day. Weddings like Alex and Andy’s, where the focus is on genuine love and celebrating with family and friends, are a reminder of why I love this work.
If you’re planning your wedding and looking for someone to document every meaningful moment and unique detail, I’d love to hear your story and learn about your vision for the day. Let’s create something beautiful together!
