Now THIS is what dreams are made of. Or at least my dreams…

When Luke and I moved to Colorado this past July I was so excited to be living in a new and beautiful place and could not WAIT to have the opportunity to take photos in jaw-dropping landscapes. At the same time, I was terrified of building up my business all over again in a new place. Luckily for me, it turns out that God was on my side when it came to starting over, because within a matter of weeks, I had multiple inquiries for Colorado weddings in my inbox.

Coming from Memphis, Tennessee, there weren’t a lot of scenic places to photograph, so when Richelle and Jorge said they wanted their engagement session to be at Garden of the Gods I was stoked. From our first meeting, I knew they would be a fun couple to work with. but when I got to their engagement session I knew for sure that we were going to be a great fit.

Not only did they want their photos to be taken in beautiful spaces, but they were willing to hike pretty darn far in order to get to those places. And sometimes even in heels.

My favorite kinds of couples to photograph are those who are willing to go on adventures, are so genuine as people it makes it difficult not to capture that joy on camera, and are just excited to be married and start living life together forever. Richelle and Jorge did not disappoint and that’s exactly what I got to do.
