Sweetheart Winery Wedding | Alicia & Brad

Whenever I shoot a wedding with my husband, I typically lose him at some point during the day. This wedding was no exception, and there was one point where I even found him in the hotel hallway, where the bridal party was getting ready, reading a brochure about a nearby theme park. But, I typically lose him because he’s off be-friending the entire wedding party and their families. Every time I turn around, he’s chatting with the best man, helping someone carry chairs, fixing a boutonniere, talking to the groomsmen about their families, or helping a bridesmaid carry her things.

Now, I’m not complaining at all, but the point is, Luke loves to talk to strangers. But at Brad and Alicia’s wedding, by the end of the night, I wasn’t positive Luke had not met at least some of Brad and Alicia’s wedding party and family before, because they were all acting like they’d known each other for years.

But I think that’s just how their families were and that was kind of just the theme of the night really. Brad and Alicia are just that kind of person. You meet them once and you wonder if maybe in another life you could have already known them.

Now, for Brad and Alicia – this day had been 7 years in the making, so maybe there was a reason that everyone at the wedding seemed to know them both so well. They’d met in high school and dated throughout college, even going to different schools. But meeting them, you just know that they’re one of those couples that are meant to be. They compliment each other in every way imaginable and, even though I’ve only known them for a few months now, you can just tell that they’re going to do whatever it take to make each other happy.

Their wedding took place at a beautiful winery just outside of Fort Collins in a town appropriately named Loveland, CO. The winery overlooked mountains and was full of doors and decor Chip and Joanna would be proud of. So, instead of explaining it all in vivid detail, since I am a photographer after all, I figured I would just share some photos from their perfect day.
